“Because God is better than we think, we have to change the way we think.”
Our Story
In 2014, Sam and Angie came to Thailand on a scouting trip with an international organization combatting child sex trafficking. What they witnessed broke their hearts, and they knew God was calling them to lay down their lives in America and bring their young family to serve on the front lines. After five years on the ground, God led them into a sabbatical where He met them with undeniable goodness, faithfulness, and presence, and they realized that all lasting work must begin with abiding in Him.
Out of that revelation, The Seed: A House of Prayer was born. Now, after twelve years in missions and revival, Sam and Angie carry a burning conviction: every one of us needs revival, one heart at a time, in the presence of the One who restores all things.
Vision & Mission
Vision: Generations redeemed by the love of Christ.
Mission: We believe prayer, worship, declaring the gospel, and sharing our testimony will bring people to a life-changing encounter with their God that will in turn redeem generations.
A core value for SOAR is the “In and Out Lifestyle”: coming in to encounter Him in worship and prayer, then going out to share the love of God with the world, whether through anti-trafficking work or outreach to locals and the missionary community.
“I spent years running from God until the gospel arrested my heart and rescued me.”
Five ways this ministry lives out its calling
The center of gravity for everything we do: worship, intercession, and communion, cultivating a culture of presence and listening.

Disciples grow in identity, intimacy, discernment, and obedience, turning encounter into fruit and revelation into obedience.

Faith becomes relational and embodied: a spiritual family gathered around Scripture, worship, prayer, and the Table.

A safe space to process pain, confront brokenness, and encounter the restoring work of the Holy Spirit.

Encounter, formation, community, and restoration spill into the world, mobilizing believers to carry their calling into the nations.

The Seed: A House of Prayer
A continuous atmosphere of worship, prayer, and intercession: a sacred space to seek God's presence, encounter His love, and experience transformation.

A Real Place, A Real Community
The Seed Cafe is a real building you can walk into, an intimate, welcoming space where a small community gathers week after week to worship, pray, and encounter God together, in person and open to anyone who wants to join.

The Wellspring
A four-week prophetic discipleship intensive designed to form mature followers of Jesus who hear God clearly, discern wisely, and respond courageously. Rooted in a house-of-prayer environment, it centers on worship, Scripture, communion, and the presence of God.
Not a hype-driven conference or an academic seminary, but a place of formation, grounded in Scripture, humility, holiness, and integrity.
Come Hungry. Come Broken. Come Ready. Come.
A Look Inside SOAR
Shop & Support
Every SOAR tee and hat helps fund the ministry in Thailand, worn by people rallying behind Sam and Angie's work. Wear it, and help send the next one.
Voices of Support
We were introduced to Sam and Angie by friends who had gone to Thailand and seen their ministry firsthand: praying for other missionaries who were struggling in their marriages, and watching them find healing. They are a lamp at people's feet in a dark place, giving hope in the power of Jesus. Works aren't required. A relationship with Jesus is.
The Seed is a place of refuge, and a place I know I can each week find Jesus and get a drink of living water. I am so thankful.
I can come in with the worst day, and I leave refreshed, prayed for, and cared for. I'm so grateful.
There is a tangible presence of the Holy Spirit here. This place needs to exist.
